String wound filters are used as the first line of defense in the filtration system, they protect your water using appliances and plumbing for cleaner water. String wound filters are a better choice compared to melt blown cartridges. String wound filters have a higher holding capacity, higher flow rate, and longer service life. Replace filters every 6-12 months for best water quality.
